100-year Jewish fraternity reactivates, aims for South Jersey chapter
In 2017, 650 alumni members of Sigma Alpha Rho (SAR), a Jewish fraternity for high school boys founded in West Philadelphia, got together to celebrate its 100-year anniversary at the Marriott hotel in downtown Philadelphia.

Jewish Fraternity Reinvents, Preserves 100-year Legacy in New Chapter
In December, SAR inducted its first new chapter in 10 years as 12 high school boys from Bucks County became brothers of the fraternity. “Once you become part of Sigma Alpha Rho, you become a brother,” said Sean Klein, 16, a new inductee from Richboro.

Dues are nominal — $18.00 per year, $36.00 for five years or $150.00 for a lifetime membership — and allow the Alumni Association to continue sharing information with members.

SAR Alumni Scholarship Award
As a result of monies raised by Sponsors at our 100th Anniversary Reunion, the Alumni Association is pleased to announce that Scholarship Awards ranging from $500 up to $1500 will be awarded".
Applicants can include any dues paying member in good standing of the Alumni Association, your child or a grandchild. All applicants must be entering into or already enrolled at an institution of higher learning after having finished high school. (ie. College, trade school, etc)
